How to Share iPhone Apps
iPhone apps can be easily bought at the iTunes store, but many people would find it more convenient to just share iPhone apps with one another. It is entirely possible to copy iPhone apps on your iPhone to another. If you would like to share iPhone apps, or have someone share it with you, then read this article. We provide you an easy step-by-step guide on how to share iPhone apps.
Before anything else, let us differentiate things to make this tutorial a lot clearer. When we refer to the “target” phone, we mean the iPhone where you would like to copy the iPhone apps. The “origin” phone is the iPhone where the app is installed.
iPhone Apps Sharing Tips
1. Open the iTunes on the computer where the target phone is maintained or synced.
2. Authorize this computer to use the origin phone’s account information. An iPhone’s account info can be used on as many as five separate computers at one time. You can authorize any computer to use your account info by going to “Store. Authorize Computer.”
3. Once the window opens, type in the credentials of your origin phone’s iTunes account, then click on “Authorize.” As stated in the previous item, you can only authorize up to five computers at a time. If you have already done this, the computer will display a notification when you attempt to authorize the 6th computer. In this case, you will need to free up a slot by going to one of the pre-authorized computers, and clinking on “Store> Deauthorize Computer” then go back to the iTunes for the target phone and authorize it.
4. Connect the origin phone to the iTunes of the target phone through cable. It would soon be recognized, and would show up in iTunes. Once the origin iPhone is connected, a tab might pop-up asking you to choose from several options such as Update, Restore, or Back-up. Do not allow the computer to perform any of these operations.
5. Locate the iPhone icon on the iTunes window and choose the option “Transfer Purchases.” The iPhone icon will then indicate “Sync in Progress” and you would observe the display indicating that the files are being copied in the ITunes library. The time required to complete copying depends on how many apps are being processed for transfer.
6. Once the transfer has been completed, follow the correct process for ejecting the origin iPhone from iTunes.
7. Now, connect the target phone for the computer. And go to the Applications tab. Check the apps that you have recently copied and click “Sync” to transfer them to your target phone.
8. Once transfer is complete, follow correct procedure to eject the iPhone from iTunes and you’re done.
